Jerry Jacobson, the railroad’s President, offered a few guests, including Danah, the opportunity to be the engineer on the locomotive (under supervision, of course) for a “photo runby.”

In this video, Danah is getting tips from engineer Grant Geist, but she is actually working the controls – the throttle, brake, whistle. The train was moving at 46mph before they stopped to back up.
